Advanced Pricing Analyst
Description
- This position is responsible for overseeing the setup and administration of customer pricing, customer allowances and sales commissions through JD Edwards advanced pricing module.
Roles & Responsibilities
Pricing & Program Administration
- Primary Administration – Lead the administration of customer pricing and programs for the Canadian division; provide strategic assistance for the US division as required.
- Conflict Resolution – Partner with Sales and Key Account departments daily to investigate and resolve pricing discrepancies on customer sales orders, including returns and credits.
- Commissions Management – Oversee the setup and administration of sales commissions for external sales groups. This includes processing and auditing monthly commission reports for both US and Canadian divisions.
- Contract Compliance – Review and interpret customer contracts and agreements during the setup process to ensure pricing logic aligns with both financial and business requirements.
Team Support & Projects
- Strategic Backup – Act as the primary backup to the Pricing Team Lead for the customer setup team. Review, approve, and administer pricing for all new customers.
- Global Support – Provide backup administration for US, International, and intercompany sales pricing and programs.
- Project Leadership – Participate in project implementation, system upgrades, and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for pricing-related software enhancements.
Skills & Competencies
Education
- Degree – Associate’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance (Bachelor’s degree is preferred).
- Excel – Intermediate to Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and proficiency in Word and Outlook.
- Detail Orientation – Highly organized with a “right first-time” mentality regarding data entry and auditing.
- Problem Solving – Strong analytical abilities to identify root causes of pricing errors and implement solutions.
- Adaptability – Ability to shift work priorities in a fast-paced environment to meet month-end deadlines and sales demands.
- Communication – Collaborative team player capable of working cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and Tax departments.
